منحت سلطة الطاقة والموارد الطبيعية، اليوم الإثنين، شركة ازدهار فلسطين لتوليد الطاقة رخصة مؤقتة لمحطة توليد الطاقة الكهربائية تعمل على الغاز الطبيعي قدرتها 80 ميغا واط في محافظة الخليل بمحاذاة منطقة ترقوميا الصناعية.
وقال رئيس سلطة الطاقة والموارد الطبيعية ظافر ملحم، إن هذه المحطة ستساهم في التخفيف من أزمة الكهرباء في منطقة الجنوب التي تعاني من نقص في التيار الكهربائي من المصدر، مشيراً إلى أن تشغيلها سيغطي احتياج ما يقارب 65,000 أسرة فلسطينية.
وأكد ملحم على أهمية زيادة الاعتماد على المصادر المحلية للتزود بالطاقة وتخفيف الاعتماد على مصادر خارجية كخطوة هامة نحو تحقيق الأمن الطاقي، مضيفاً أن الاستثمار بمزيد من مشاريع الطاقة سواء المتجددة أو التقليدية سيساهم في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وتنوع مصادر الطاقة حسب ما جاء في أجندة السياسات .
بدورها، قالت الشركة المطورة للمشروع: نأمل أن يكون هذا المشروع مقدمة لمشاريع تنموية أخرى تساهم في دعم الاقتصاد الفلسطيني من خلال زيادة وفرة الطاقة الكهربائية وتقديمها للمواطن الفلسطيني بسعر أفضل.
ومن الجدير بالذكر، أن هذه الرخصة ستمهد للمطور والجهات الحكومية التحضير لتوقيع اتفاقية شراء الطاقة المنتجة من المحطة يصادق عليها مجلس الوزراء.
